Senior Landscape Architect

About the role:
We are seeking an established Senior Landscape Architect to join our team in Wellington. Working closely with the Group Landscape Architecture Lead, you will work collaboratively with a highly engaged team to collectively lead and develop the design and delivery of exceptional urban spaces and landscapes.
You will be challenged and supported to learn and develop as a landscape architect working alongside industry leading design professionals. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to help shape the growth of our landscape team and to engage with creating a better future through authentic, sustainable, ambitious and city shaping design.
What experience/skills you will have:
- A Bachelor Degree (Hons) or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture.
- At least 10 years’ professional experience in Landscape Architecture, recognised by clients and collaborators for strong design and professional leadership
- Excellent graphic skills with experience in the use of a range of digital tools and techniques, including Adobe Creative Cloud, SketchUp, REVIT, as well as hand drawing.
- A belief in collaboration and the value of diversity of experience in shaping authentic places.
- A passion for the design of regenerative landscapes and the public realm
- Experience with co-design and Iwi/mana whenua engagement.
- A creative and curious mindset with an ability to think both spatially and laterally.
- Strong attention to detail and aptitude for the technical and technology
- Experience in managing the design and delivery of landscape and public realm projects from concept through to construction documentation.
- Ability to coach and mentor other team members.
- A design led approach to problem-solving that seeks opportunity and innovation when challenged.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Are a member of the NZ Institute of Landscape Architects with an active NZILA registration.
