Landscape Designer / Architect

Our business is growing, and we are looking for a landscape designer or landscape architect to join Jared Lockhart Design.
The position is for an experienced designer, and although the practice is specifically landscape orientated, we are open to considering applicants from complimentary fields, such as architecture.
The position comes with an immediate start and as such only those with the eligibility to work in New Zealand should apply.
The role would suit someone with 3+ years of work experience and who is comfortable working closely with Jared running projects and being involved in every aspect of the design process, from the initial design development through to managing the build onsite.
A practical knowledge of landscaping and construction is essential, as is a fluency in using CAD based software such as Autocad and SketchUp, as well as knowledge of Photoshop and Indesign.
Specifically, the role includes a mix of onsite and office-based work. The focus of the onsite work is managing and liaising with contractors and overseeing projects in construction. Within the office the work involves everything required to move the project through from the initial design, into detailed design (Resource Consent and Building Consent submissions & construction drawings), and finally into construction on site. This includes being part of and overseeing the production of CAD drawings, schedules and presentations as well as the general day to day running of jobs including client and contractor liaison.
