Watch Video of Martin Rein-Cano
International designer Martin Rein-Cano was in Auckland for flying visit in October and he wasn’t afraid to court controversy.
LAA caught up with the Argentinian-born, Berlin based founder of the TOPOTEK1 design studio who had some perhaps surprising comments about Auckland, New Zealand and beauty within the landscape architecture profession.
Martin, who studied History of Art at Frankfurt University and Landscape Architecture at the Technical Universities of Hannover and Karlsruhe, told LAA that we should be wary of over-beautification and worried that perhaps New Zealand is “too beautiful”
Watch video to find out what he means by that.
